Universal Logistic is the premium distributor of pharmaceutical products in Ukraine. The company provides its customers with high quality services, reliable technologies, high-tech modern equipment, well-qualified personnel and sophisticated logistics services. The wide range of domestic and foreign products is supported by a considerable stock, thus allowing the offering of competitive prices to the customers. Today, Universal Logistic cooperates with more than 100 foreign and 70 Ukrainian manufacturers of pharmaceutical products.
ant Technologies, Mantis‘ partner in Ukraine (and Russia/CIS), was selected by Universal Logistics to implement Mantis‘ Warehouse Vision (the WMS arm of Mantis‘ leading Logistics Vision software suite). Universal Logistic‘s decision was based on the following criteria: low 5-year TCO (total cost of ownership), popularity of the system in the market of logistics service providers, functionality and high adaptability of the system, ant‘s extended experience.
The customization of the system was done according to specific warehouse topology and operational requirements such as double-depth racks, handling equipment parameters, transferring of 2 pallets at a time, keeping of daily journal and special goods flow reporting. The system that is currently used by 15 concurrent users has been successfully integrated with Universal Logistic‘s ERP system (JD Edwards). In order to comply with the strict requirements that are relevant to the special documents that usually accompany the pharmaceutical products, the experts of ant Technologies developed a custom batch printing module allowing the operator to simultaneously print the necessary documents per each order / shipment with a specified document sorting sequence.
The system went successfully live allowing the company to reap a lot of benefits.
“The introduction of Logistics Vision Suite allowed us to computerize all warehouse business processes and to tackle the most important tasks of a pharmaceutical warehouse: to render the tenants a full range of warehouse services in compliance with the license provisions that are relevant to the handling of pharmaceutical products.”
