Hellenic Dairies selects Mantis for automation orchestration in 10 Distribution Centers across 4 countries
The leading international Mantis WMS Logistics Vision Suite (LVS) optimizes warehouse operations across 10 Distribution Centers in Greece, Romania, Bulgaria, and Cyprus, orchestrates advanced automation and enables centralized control with Inteligență pentru Depozit resulting to higher efficiency, lower costs, and superior service performance.
Hellenic Dairies Group selected Mantis as its WMS technology partner to achieve this demanding objective, and its award-winning WMS LVS that stands out for its unique Adaptability, Flexibility, and Scalability. Mantis’ experienced team holds deep expertise and international know-how in delivering large and complex projects in the Food & Beverage sector, covering specialized requirements such as upstream and downstream traceability, rapid stock turnover and shelf-life extension, enhanced cross-docking operations, etc.
Mantis designed and implemented the solution of WMS LVS deployment at 10 Distribution Centers in Greece, Romania, Bulgaria, and Cyprus, according to the specific needs of each subsidiary and each local market including:
- Implementation of WMS LVS for streamlining and optimizing all inbound and outbound warehouse processes, as well as material supplies to production lines.
- Integration of LVS-WCS (Warehouse Control System) AMHS Server (Automated Materials Handling Systems), which natively integrates and orchestrates warehouse automations in real time, maximizing their performance.
- Deployment of LVS – Link Manager for seamless integration between Mantis WMS and the Group’s central SAP ERP.
- Central management of all Distribution Centers via Inteligență pentru Depozit, providing real-time visibility of warehouse operations.
The WMS LVS was deployed across raw and packaging material warehouses, production supply departments, semi-finished and finished goods storage, depending on the needs of each Distribution Center.
In Distribution Centers utilizing advanced automations (LGVs, cranes, shuttle storage system etc.), Mantis WMS successfully orchestrates automations to multiply performance. At the same time, where the Group applies drive-in and back-to-back storage systems, the LVS-WES (Warehouse Execution System) unifies automated and manual tasks using algorithms for prioritization, sorting, pre-cubing, picking & replenishment.

- OLYMPOS factory and warehouse in Larisa (13,000 pallet positions)
- KLIAFA factory and warehouse in Trikala (5,000 pallet positions)
- RODOPI factory and warehouse in Xanthi (3,000 pallet positions)
Three additional factories and warehouses are currently in planning for future deployment (Athens, Thessaloniki and Doumpia in Chalkidiki).
Romania:
- FLB factory and warehouse in Brasov (42,000 pallet positions)
Bulgaria:
- UMC factory and warehouse in Sliven (5,000 pallet positions)
Cyprus:

One of the factors that makes Mantis’ WMS LVS unique is its open architecture, which enables the customers’ in-house IT teams, such as in the case of Hellenic Dairies, to independently carry out implementations, quickly and effectively addressing any new requirement.
After completion of the project, Hellenic Dairies Group achieved tangible results, including a 35% increase in warehouse productivity and a 40% increase in order-line processing capacity. Additional qualitative benefits include full real-time visibility of inventory and tasks across all Distribution Centers, automatic stock classification and reallocation based on seasonality and demand, optimal utilization of warehouse space, especially during peak seasons etc.
