We are seeking a highly driven, hands-on & passionate R&D Director, who will lead our R&D organization dealing with our Warehouse (WMS) products across the Group.

The position is based in Athens, Greece and reports to the ecovium Group CPTO.

Job description:

  • Establishes a high-scale and efficient R&D Warehouse organization.
  • Executes and supports the organization to achieve its strategic goals.
  • Manages the R&D Teams dealing with our Group WMS products.
  • Ensures that standard product development processes are implemented and followed.
  • Ensures that products are effectively delivered in terms of time, scope and quality.
  • Drives the product portfolio from product development perspective in close alignment with the Product Manager.
  • Ensures that the LVS Warehouse Management system is fully integrated into ecovium’s cloud-based logistics platform.
  • Ensures that cross-department processes in Warehouse are optimized (R&D, Support, Consulting).
  • Establishes a strong relationship to the other R&D teams in ecovium.

Required skills and experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or Engineering, Master’s degree will be an asset.
  • Minimum 7 years of related experience in a leadership role managing R&D people (e.g. managing product owners, software engineers, QA engineers, DevOps, Cloud Operations, etc.), preferably in an international corporate environment.
  • Track record of successfully driving software products for B2B.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Technology stack (C#.NET, .NET Core, SQL Server etc.) and web development frameworks (Angular, ASP.Net MVC, Blazor) is a strong asset.
  • Excellent command of the English language.
  • Strong knowledge of IT systems, practices and functional units, excellent in managing the Software Delivery Lifecycle and experience with Compliance / Security.
  • Ability to translate business strategy into products and services as well as understanding of the principles of customer interaction and engagement and how to drive improvements in customer satisfaction.
  • Provides technical consultation to the business stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication, teambuilding and relationship building skills.
  • Strong business acumen, strong team player, budgetary and financial management.
