Mureș Depo Alimente optimizes cold storage efficiency with LVS
Mureș Depo Alimente (Keller Logistic), a leading 3PL provider of frozen and refrigerated goods in Romania, selected Mantis, a leading international WMS vendor, and Logistics Vision Suite / LVS’s advanced features for the 3PL industry to run the company’s new, automated warehouse.
Mureș Depo Alimente’s automated warehouse includes two sections:
- The deep-freeze section that operates at -27°C with a capacity of 4.976 pallets.
- The refrigerated section that operates at the range from+5°C to -22°C with a capacity of 5.392 pallets.
Both sections are equipped with a total of 4 stacker cranes that store and retrieve pallets, weighing up to 1 ton in the Self-Supporting Racking System of STAMH with a total height of 35 meters and a total length of 70 meters, efficiently integrated with Mantis WMS LVS.
LVS, successfully implemented by the Mantis Romania team, manages and optimizes vital warehousing processes at Mureș Depo Alimente, from put-away strategy to quality control, billing, reporting etc.
The Mantis team of experts set into force highly sophisticated put-away algorithms that consider multiple factors, from business decisions and client / depositor related conditions (such as delivery and expiration dates etc.) to structural conditions and balancing weights demands, imposed by the metal structure of the building.
